The basic difference between 'upload' and 'embed' is a pretty simple concept.
IMPORT Allows you to actually 'own' the content you include in Programs.
EMBED Allows you to 'reference' content you include in Programs.
For example.. you may have an image or video on your desktop, so you have control of the file. You can UPLOAD this file in the FILEPICKER interface (or drag the file into the interface).
If you have access to the URL of a resource that is online, such as image or video, you can process that image and import it via the web as content in your programming. Our platform creates a copy of the file on our server. Even if that resource changes elsewhere, it is saved here.
You can also import content from many other sources:
You can scroll the list of options to find the option you need.
Remember to use caution when using content from outside sources and respect all copyright considerations.
When an online resource can't be accessed directly, our platform allows you do an embed for supported files.
So far, we support YouTube, Vimeo, DaCast (live streaming) video embeds, as well as Embedables supported by Embedly.
